Chill Digital Marketing is focused on getting results for our clients
In many cases the very first impression that your potential customers receive of your business is your website. What do they see? Is it a positive reflection of your business?
Creating a great website
To create a great website you need to achieve a balance of engaging content, beautiful design and functionality.
WEBSITES THAT HAVE IMPACT
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN DESIGNING A WEBSITE
MAKE YOUR INFORMATION EASY TO READ AND DIGEST
Once you have their attention the site needs to be interesting enough to keep them there. There is a reason that newspapers are formatted as they are, it is so that at a glance you can see if the articles are something you are interested in. If yes you read more; if no you move on. This is even more so on a website; you only have seconds to retain attention which makes the formatting and design of your website paramount to it’s success. Organise information using headlines and sub headlines, use bullet points instead of long windy sentences.
MAKE NAVIGATION OBVIOUS AND EASY
Navigation should be obvious and include a logical page hierarchy using breadcrumbs. Also designing clickable buttons and hyperlinking images and text content can add to the user experience. The ‘three click rule’, is a good principle to adhere to. It means users will be able to find the information they are looking for within three clicks.
FAST LOADING - PEOPLE WON'T WAIT AROUND
So you click on a link and you sit staring at a blank screen while the website slowly loads. Everybody hates that! If you are like most people you go to the next site on the your list; why wait there are plenty of other sites out there. Make sure your site loads fast!
RESPONSIVE DESIGN - MOBILE FRIENDLY IS NOT JUST AN OPTION
